ABOUT MSSA
The Mid-South Sidesaddle Association was founded in 2017 by Pam Anderson, Laura Lawson, Kayla Benson, Brooke Ballenger, Dottie Benson, and Billy Anderson. The need for a regional club was realized by two of the founding members after the blushing bride decided to learn to ride sidesaddle for their historically themed wedding! Shortly after, the rest of our founders gained interest and the Mid-South Sidesaddle Association was born. Since then, MSSA has had the opportunity to add sidesaddle classes to the Germantown Charity Horse Show and the Nashoba Carriage Classic. Members have also had the opportunity to participate in several holiday parades and attend expositions throughout the mid-south.

Brooke Ballenger
Jennifer has been riding with us for several years. With her horse, Bogart, Jennifer competes in sidesaddle competition, hunters, jumpers, and dressage. She also enjoys parades and exhibitions!
Taylor began her sidesaddle career several years ago. She first learned about sidesaddle through her carriage driving friends. Taylor enjoys competing in carriage driving and sidesaddle as well as doing parades!
Brooke was one of our very first members. She enjoyed riding the late KT Barnabus and still loves to attend shows and parades! Brooke also enjoys carriage driving as well! She now serves as our secretary and loves taking wonderful photos of our members at all of our events!
